DIRTY ROCK MAGAZINE
PRESS RELEASE
FRIDAY 10th OCTOBER 2008

Introducing... Dirty Rock Magazine, The Digital Rock N Roll E-Zine

From the creator of classic rock focussed webzine, DirtyRock.net, comes a brand new digital medium; Dirty Rock Magazine hosted at www.dirtyrockmagazine.com. Launching the first issue in early November, Dirty Rock Magazine aims to take rock music journalism to a new level by creating dynamic content through a combination of regular print techniques fused with new modern interactive features prominent in the digital age.

Using the Desktop Author Software, Dirty Rock Magazine is able to create a dynamic magazine layout for the computer screen. Page turning features give the digital publication a look and feel of print media with the added functionality of the web including search options, easy click navigation, external links, video, audio plus a whole lot more to enhance the user experience. Anyone with an internet connection can download each issue to read online, offline or even by using the inbuilt print function.

Dirty Rock Magazine continues far beyond what DirtyRock.net was able to offer with a focus on the very top in classic rock, hard rock and classic heavy metal. Everything from highly established artists to the unsigned or unknown bands fans should know about will have the opportunity to feature within the digital Dirty Rock pages. Not only that, but Dirty Rock Magazine aims to bring fans new music and video’s straight to their desktop from their favourite acts.

For bands, record labels or advertisers looking to reach a global audience through the web with dynamic video and audio enhanced ads to truly capture the reader’s attention, Dirty Rock Magazine provides a new platform to do so. From tours to new releases to merchandise, anyone can buy space within the digital pages to advertise their band, product or event either through full page, half page or classified ads.

“Dirty Rock Magazine is here to provide the rock n roll community around the world a unique non-territorial publication through quality articles, information and new music”, said editor Tim Baker. “My aim is to make Dirty Rock Magazine one of the top classic rock focussed publications around the world. It will take time but I’m here for the long haul”.

“We can offer something no other print mag can do with a combination of great written content and web based media to really give our readers an enhanced experience. And with a little more time I hope Dirty Rock Magazine will soon produce original audio and video interviews or shows featuring some of the greatest acts, established or up and coming, exclusive to our digital e-zine.”

The first issue of Dirty Rock Magazine is due in early November.

Technical Info

- Download either a DNL (recommended) or EXE file of each issue
- DNL versions require the small download and install file of the DNL Reader to view each issue within the browser. This is the safest and recommended way to view each issue.
- Purchase of each issue is made easy with the DRM (Digital Rights Management) application within each issue protecting both the customer and publisher. Customers simply navigate to the page and enter payment info like any other online transaction unlocking the rest of the e-zine.
- Print buttons will be made available within each issue for those who wish to read away from the computer as well as offline options. NOTE: This will prevent some interactive features.
