Originally a side project The Chuck Norris Experiment took on a life of its own resulting in this, their third album since 2005.

Apart from having one of the most interesting and strangest band names I’ve come across, this five piece from Sweden (all with the first name Chuck!), play some seriously gritty rock n roll. With Chuck Ransom’s deep, raspy vocals backed by a dirty rock n roll sound with a tinge of punk and a rolling rhythm section added to the equation, ‘The Return of Rock N Roll’ proceeds to deface your stereo speakers.

This is rock n roll simplified and played energetically as it should be. Raw and uncompromising The Chuck Norris Experiment deliver a solid 11 tracks in a powerful and almost abusive fashion. Some of the material can have a QOSTA vibe with its chainsaw riffs but some tracks like ‘Cold Blood’ has a Hellacopters feel through the chorus and ‘Electrified’ an AC/DC style with the sharp, short guitars and “Oi’s” throughout the verses.

‘Cold Blood’ ‘Less Than A Man’ ‘Electrified’ and ‘You Got It Coming’ seem to be the ones sticking in my mind the most and all have a good mix going on. With the exception of ‘Radioshadow’, all the tracks are like a barrage of rock coming thick and fast ready to take your head off.

CNE play straight out, loud and abrasive rock, traditional but current.
